Delivery Duty Unpaid
Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) means that the seller is responsible for the transportation of the goods to a previously agreed location and assumes all costs and risks up to this destination. However, the seller is not responsible for handling customs formalities. This task is the responsibility of the buyer. In addition to the customs formalities, the buyer must also pay all import duties, taxes and other fees and charges.

Delivery Duty Paid
When goods are delivered in compliance with the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) clause, the seller is responsible for transporting the goods to a specified location in the importing country. The seller is responsible for all costs and risks. In addition, he must complete all the necessary formalities and is responsible for paying all import duties and costs.

Delivery Duty Paid & Delivered Duty Paid (excl. VAT) & >Delivery Duty Paid (excl. customs duties, taxes and VAT)
The difference between “Delivery Duty Paid (excl. customs duties, taxes and VAT)” and “Delivered Duty Paid (excl. VAT)” is mainly in the costs that are paid by the seller:

Delivery Duty Paid (excl. customs duties, taxes and VAT): in this clause, the seller assumes all costs and risks of transportation to the destination in the country of import, including delivery costs and any risks incurred. However, customs duties, taxes and VAT are excluded in this clause. This means that the buyer is responsible for paying these charges.
Delivered Duty Paid (excl. VAT): Here, the seller also pays all costs and risks up to the destination. However, the seller is also responsible for customs duties and all other taxes, with the exception of VAT. The buyer is responsible for paying the VAT.

In summary, this means that with “Delivery Duty Paid (excl. customs duties, taxes and VAT)” the buyer is responsible for customs duties, all taxes and VAT, while with “Delivered Duty Paid (excl. VAT)” the seller bears all costs except for VAT.

Cut-off-Time
The cut-off-time is the latest possible order time up to which the earliest delivery day (day of order + 2 working days) can be guaranteed. After exceeding this time, the earliest available delivery day in the checkout will be increased by one day (day of the order + 3 working days).

Please note:
“Visual Age Check” and “Ident Check” cannot be used together.

Birthday request on the checkout page

In German Market you can find under:
WooCommerce -> German Market -> General -> Products
the option for “Age Rating”.

You can find more information about the option here.

If you have activated this option in German Market as well as the “Ident-Check” in DHL Shipping (WooCommerce -> German Market -> DHL Shipping -> Parcels Configuration) and a customer has age-rated products in their cart, a field for the birthday entry will appear on the checkout page (only for DHL Standard and DHL Parcelshop).

checkout-birthday

If the “Age Rating” option is deactivated in “German Market -> General -> Products” but the “Ident check” is activated under “DHL shipping -> Parcel configuration“, the birthday is generally requested on the checkout page (regardless of the products) and the age check is also be sent to the label.

If the Ident-Check is to be added to an order afterwards or during a manual order, this can easily be done in the order in the area “DHL – German Market”. Provided that a label has not yet been generated. If a label has already been created, it can be canceled, the Ident-Check can then be added and a new label can be generated.
